Infrastructure information AGS

The professorship based at AGS nominates a person from among its members as site manager. The site manager acts as the interface to the department’s infrastructure units (Dean’s Office, Raplab, ISG). The department provides professors and students with basic infrastructure: workshop, presentation screen, printer & plotter, including associated consumables.

The use of the available infrastructure is organized internally, in particular:

– Refilling printer paper/plotter rolls
– Management of consumables
– 1st-level support in case of malfunctions
– Site manager: Contact technical support (see below)

Consumables:

The material for the plotter must be ordered in advance from the IT Services Group (ISG D-ARCH). We recommend that you notify us when there are only three plot rolls remaining. Two cartridges per color should be kept in stock. Please send stock levels and orders to helpdesk@arch.ethz.ch.

A4 and A3 paper for the HP multifunction printer must be ordered independently from the ETH “Büromaterial Shop”, see https://ethis.ethz.ch -> Procurement -> ETHIS procurement platform -> ETH web shop -> Office and search for copy paper (listed in the shop at CHF 0.00). Toner cartridges are automatically delivered by post as soon as the threshold value is reached.

Plotter and printer malfunctions:

Malfunctions can usually be resolved using the instructions on the device itself.

In the event of a defect, the site manager can:

request technical support for the plotter (HP DesignJet T1600) directly from TGSoft: https://ticket.tgsoft.ch/ or 052 246 11 77 (Serial No.: CN37HDH02H)
request technical support for the printer (HP Color LaserJet E78330z) from the ETH central service desk (servicedesk@id.ethz.ch), quoting the printer name “p-ags-hp001”.
