Email distributors and mailing lists

Group alias

For each chair there is a so-called group alias: an email distributor to all members of the chair.

A group alias has the following form:

• professorname-all@arch.ethz.ch

Other distributors

There are further email distributors at D-ARCH. To protect against abuse and spam, you have to log in first to view this information.

View and edit mailing lists

To view or edit a mailing list, log in on this page:

www.password.ethz.ch

After you have logged in, click ‘Mailing List’ [1] and choose ‘Select Mailing List’ [2]. Leave the search field [3] empty and click ‘Search’ [4].

You will now see all mailing lists you have permission to edit. Select the list you want by clicking on it.

In the next window you can view [1], add [2] or remove [3] the members of the list. You can also add [4] or remove [5] groups. At point [6] you can delete the entire mailing list.

Tip: You can add any number of people in one step. Paste the desired list (e.g. ETH usernames or email addresses) into the search field [1]. Then click ‘Search’ [2], select all entries [3] and assign them [4].
